If you're trying to save weight Oz superleggeras seem to be what they stick on Audi R8s and Porsches. They do nudge just over the £2K mark though....

Im having a real issue trying to find "flow formed" or also known as "spun forged" alloys, ive found Apex wheels however i can only find a company in the U.S that sells them and does not ship to the UK.
Know even tho it wont be until next year i would like to get a idea of what i can get, i was thinking still 19" but somekind of deep dish as i think looks great on a sports car, budget 1-2k.....and dont post shite on here or somekind of "Essex" pimped up wheel :| just real susggestions pls as ideally like a wheel at around 20-22lbs per corner as well.

And a lighter bonnet too with carbon air vents, were predicting 250bhp with a possible extra gain of 10-15% ontop so may exceed even a brand new face lift 3L at 261bhp with the stage 1 of the turbo install...

Where does that 'extra gain of 10-15%' come from? And what is it 10-15% of - original bhp, boosted bhp?

IIRC, in your Turbo pre-build thread, you quoted a letter/email from the company saying that 50% increase (which would be 147*1.5 = 220bhp) should be doable, and some engines could take 75% (which, if possible on yours, would be 147 * 1.75 = 257bhp), but no promises - but you now seem to be expecting 250bhp as a minimum and then adding some other 'gains' on top.

Don't be tempted to push things too far or you're likely to end up with something that goes 'bang' rather than 'fast'

Morr wheels FS77 at 19" weigh 19lbs.

dropping that type of weight on each corner you WILL notice the difference.... overall thats massive drop in weight but still consider an 18" for ultimate gains functionally and also you will be able to grab some of the budget slicks available that will blow the socks off the top end road tyres available for dry grip which is all your bothered about since your car only see decent weather.....* disclaimer* ( they will be pants in cold conditions, they run really wide, they wear out really fast, but they will grip like you didn't think possible)

Anyway, I doubt you will notice much difference between a few lb's here and there. No point worrying about it and buying some alloy you hate the look of. Best off buying something you like rather than something you feel your car needs.

Still unsure of 18" over 19" atm :?

Despite what anyone says, 18's are massively better in terms of ride comfort if your car is lowered (which it is).

If i hadn't already bought new 19'' tyres, i'd be switching back to 18's.

amazingly ford sent it out with linear springs!! they meant business for sure! definitely one of the best handling cars I've owned anyway, i find the ride firm but really well controlled and comfortable!

Well that's one way to make your car appear faster, at least from the driver's seat, as lower profile tyres will make the speedo over-read

e.g. if you went from an 18" 255/35 tyre to 18" 255/25, your speedo would read 90/80/70/60mph but you'd only be doing 83/74/64/55mph - it'll also make your odometer increase faster
