Anyone got any experience with the Falken FK453s?

I've had the FK452s on both my RX8s in the past and they were a superb tyre for the money, loads of grip in both dry and wet conditions and stiff sidewall to help the handling. Only downside was that they were a bit soft and I managed to get rid of a set in 6000 miles :lol:

Just wondering what the newer version is like on these cars?

Currently running the stock RFT Bridgestones all round and reallly want rid as they are so unforgiving in terms of comfort and noise.
 
I would cost up a set then compare like for like with a range of others before making the decision
To my mind there are better tyres for the same or less money

I just got a full set of Yokohama V701 A rated in the rain 265/30/19 and 235/35/19 for about £530 on paper they seem to be the best spec tyre that nots crazy expensive.
 
Pirelli P Zero XL* from Kwikfit online** £450 full set on 35iS.

*It seems that some of the well-known brands in 2017 are coming with stiffer 'XL' sidewalls. Nothing like RFT stiffness, but enough to contribute to tread performance and perhaps even to keep the rim off the road for a while after a puncture.
**Kwikfit's drive-in prices are higher. Much, in some cases.

5,000 miles show that the Pirellis perform well and indicate a rear-wheel life of about 10k+ miles.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys. Busy looking at the various tyres mentioned at the moment. The Goodyear Eagle F1 As3 seem to have decent reviews too - any recommendations? I can pick some up for £114 each for the rear.

However slight issue and probably a stupid question....

Only my rears need replacing, the fronts are still on 4-5mm tread. I suspect its not a good idea to have run flats on front and non-RF on the rear? I would rather not have to replace the full set at this moment in time but if needs must....

What wheel size is that for?

I just checked Kwikfit online and the cheapest for a 255/30r19 pirelli tyre is £246.

OK, so I lied. It's three quid over four fifty. :)
