Hi all,
Well after weeks of faffing about I finally got the new Assy 5s fitted this morning.
So far I've only driven from Norwich to Attleborough and it's peeing down. I don't want to try anything silly until they've cleaned up a bit.
However, already the difference is noticeable. Anyone who has ever driven the concrete portion of the A11 south of Norwich will know what a bumpy piece of crap it is. The journey home was transformed! Ok, so it's never going to be a magic carpet, but it's already quieter and less crashy.
I have 225/40 x 18 front and 255/35 x 18 rear. I've started off with F34 and R36 and will adjust around that as I get a better feel for it.
I cannot recommend F1 Autocentre in Norwich enough. Polite, knowledgeable, took extreme care (nylon sockets etc).
I ordered online and my total bill was £480, with fitting and 'precision balancing'.
From my looking around, that seemed a decent deal.
But, to cap it all, they then handed over a discount card. All I need to do is contact Goodyear with a photo of my invoice and they'll send me a John Lewis or Amazon voucher for £80!
The offer ends on 30th November. £40 for 2x18s, £80 for 4x18s, £50 for 2x19s, and £100 for 4x19s.
Maybe someone else can make use of this if you get in quick!
