I love that video sars, I can watch it again and again.

Me too and he makes it look easy, the cinematography is sublime in my opinion, however it's their conclusion that nails it for me

Absolutely, really classy and respectful way of dealing with one of the best problems in the world. They are all so different in philosophies (the cars :driving:) , their conclusion is spot on. The slo-mo shots of tyres disintegrating is fixating!!!

Sorry for going off topic, if anything new the vid also shows how good tiff is as a presenter - maybe I'm just getting old.

I was hoping that Dario francitti might have a got a shout, quite like his columns on Evo which shows his mad love of all stuff including rc cars.

Btw, I wonder how many people are in the trifecta owners club at present, there's already one owner in the U.K.

Does this mean it's going to be more for car nerds and ultimately fail to win a prime time audience?

I'm a big Chris Harris fan, but he clearly likes making films for petrolheads and didn't part with Drive/NBC on great terms when they started getting him to do "stock" car reviews. I'm also not sure how the BBC would handle something like his past conflicts with Ferrari (although you could say that it'll be a walk in the park after Clarkson!). Really hope that Chris Harris on Cars will continue, but that doesn't look likely now. Either way, fair play to the man.

Not sure if it was already known but it's news to me
Chris Harris & Sabine Schmitz will star alongside the ginger one 8) works for me

+1 good line up, except perhaps the ginger one... jury still out. Would've preferred Steve Coogan personally.

Some say he's a radio DJ from Norfolk, all we know is, it's Alan Partridge. ;)

Just watched this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KiC03_wVjc&feature=player_embedded of Sabine driving a Transit round the 'Ring, first time I've seen it and she is a star! Roll on the new TG.

Really please when I opened this thread - I knew we were getting Chris Evans, but given a choice the other 3 are exactly who I would have chosen so I'm looking forward to it!

My only concern is it may be a little too enthusiast-focussed to get the general audience - I'm not sure the new team will be as keen on the daft stuff TG used to do (but I won't miss car rugby, etc.) Some of BBC clips with DC have been pretty good, last one I remember he was rally-crossing with Jenson Button at Lydden Hill!

Alas it appears DC has gone over to Ch4 with the F1 team. So won't be doing Top Gear.

I also gather Mr Evans is struggling to talk and drive at the same time. Mrs G could teach him a thing or two on that one.

I'm hoping the new programme won't become too stuffy and car focussed and ultimately too serious which would put me off and why I enjoyed TG as it had a good balance. The worst thing that could happen is the new team driving cars and giving their opinion and nothing else.

Tim.

Been a few negative articles around with this just the latest http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3402678/Top-Gear-skids-Chris-Evans-clashes-BBC-chiefs-resignation-key-producer-brought-help-revive-show.html
Seems things not going to well for the ginger one on this occasion

No idea how I've missed Monkey being part of the team!

I'm actually looking forward to the reboot now!

I read that a) chris evans smashed a new jag b) sabine et al aren't involved anymore?

anyone confirm? With producers walking etc it's sounding like a nightmare
