Why did you replace it?
Faded or marked? Or simply wanted quieter?
As I've just had mine redyed and sealed
See pic lovely and jet black again :)

Looks nice, but does it feel rough to the touch?

I rented my original roof and whilst it looked good, the fabric felt very rough, almost like sandpaper.

I've since spoken to other members who have experienced the same issue after dyeing their fabric hoods.
Ps had a good old feel of it this evening and given a gentle rub with hand it seems to take the rough feeling away

My first convertible, a Triumph Spitfire had a black roof. In South Carolina, a black roof is super hot in the summer. It gets really hot with unbearable sun in the summer here. Light color tops really help. When shopping for the car beige was the only color I considered. And I personally like the way it looks, that's my taste.

Got to say I really like that colour/look. Obviously difficult to tell from a photo but it looks taught and well fitting. Hope you get the problem resolved.

Looks sweet. This is one of the things on my list. How did you re-dye it? Was it a relatively simple process? Same with the sealing... Any tips? What products did you end up using? Cheers!

I'd never do myself as could go wrong
Detailer did it for me 3 coats then sealed in buddy
Nice and jet black and dust doesn't stick anymore:)

Right-o
That's what I was thinking with the dye... Recipie for disaster! But if you're careful I suspect it's okay...
Roughly how much you get it done for?
Thanks!

£150 for detailer to do as it needs to be washed dried cleaner.
Then dyed and then sealed and left over night:)
