New to the Zed

I'm here to learn and share, but first off, some pictures of my new Z. Hardly new, its an '03 3.0i, but in excellent condition. Enjoy the photos, but try to keep in mind it is dreadfully stock and I need help. My first mission is the exhaust. If anyone has ideas let me know.

Welcome to the forum....

Actually it's not as stock as it looks at first glance. It's a 3.0 yet it has a black kidney grill (usually silver). Also, the lights at the back are symmetrical. Usually the fog light is red. What alloys are they, I don't recall seeing those before?

It NEEDS a stubby aerial though... and I do like that colour. Looks much better on a sunny day though :D

The wheels are based off a 17 " one piece BBS concept that I still have not located...

I want to replace them with the BBS LM's eventually but right now I'm not ready to give up the badge...

I really do need help finding an exhaust thats worth the time though...Everything I see seems to be just resonators and sound is important, but I also need to start seeing some whp gain before the winter is over...

Welcome... classic colour combo!

What's wrong with the exhaust? Quite enjoy mine... addicted to getting the revs up in low gears and then taking my foot of the peddle, over-runs beautifully :D

No matter what you decide to do there's plenty of help on here!

BBS LMs... sweet!

Technically speaking nothing is actually wrong with the exhaust. Bimmer did a pretty decent job of tuning what it could out of the I-6 but I think it can do so much more.

Coming from a ricer background, I've always started with exhaust and intake on project cars...I get what I can out of N/A and then depending on how well that goes I go forced induction...

There's an awful lot of space under the hood and it screams for more power to me. I want this baby to be a monster in a tuxedo.

Welcome! Sounds like your car is going to be one to watch!

Make sure you take photos of everything you do! We all like inspiration :)

Welcome from another newbe - looks like you have a fair bit of work planed for the car - look forward to seeing what you have in plan.
