New to forum, potential new owner, getting scared!

I dont think there were any other changes from 03-04 (I think Triple-Flash indicators also became an option). My 03 is pretty well screwed together...

The TV isnt always combined with the Nav, but with the digital switchover it may soon be obsolete anyway (there is a composite input however). I think Bluetooth and TV were bundled together though, theres an options selector on the 'Used' section on Parkers.co.uk. Im pretty sure a DVD-Player was never an option but willing to be proved wrong. Maybe theyre referring to the MkIV Navigation which uses a slot-loading DVD drive for the maps?

Air Con services arent needed every 2 years. Even when required, theyre about £40 from a local mechanic.

M-Sport seats are like gold dust. M-Sport Suspension is standard on the 3.0i

Thanks for the reply. Damn, never thought about digital switchover! Kind of renders the TV function useless then. I think your right about the DVD, looks like it's a DVD drive used to update the Nav. :(

Welcome

Why would you need a DVD player/TV in a 2 seater roadster?

I swapped out the HU in my last car to a fancy pioneer double DIN with nav and a DVD player - and in the 3 years I had it i only used the DVD player once - which was for us to watch Terminator 2 in the cinema cark park waiting for our screening of T4!

But i do like the nice big Nav screen on my dash - looks pretty at night!

TV was circa £800 on top of the Pro Nav cost of £1800ish; Bluetooth about £600. I had the TV on an M3 and used it maybe 3 times...reception was never great and of course you can't use it without the handbrake on (unless you mod it)....I wouldn't bother with it, especially as they will also now need a digital tuner. The DVD drive is only for the map disc / update discs as said.

I've got Nav and Bluetooth, they are worth having but wouldn't worry about TV. Rare anyway

Great news, pending an independent inspection I've found a z4 :D.

Its an '03 3.0l SE, 57k, black with red heated seats, satnav, cruise control, carver hifi, wind deflector, 108's, and chrome exhaust tips. It has fsh and bmwsh up until inspection II. Picking it up in within the next two weeks. Can't wait!

Definately the rt kind of spec to go for.
i have an 05 3.0i se with smlr options, that iv had for a few yrs. the carver hifi is alot better than std setuo, while the chrome exhaust tips are std on 3.0,as was m sport suspension(which is lowered from the 2/2.5s,tho is dfrnt from the the actual m rdstr/coupe suspnsn)

as for m sport seats. they are far better at holding u in,imho, than std seats are :D

Just to come back to the TV function - not sure how long you can watch it and still start the car ... I won't let anyone watch the TV in the X5 unless I am driving as I don't fancy turning the key and the battery having drained.

Welcome to the forum. Great news that you've found one
Where abouts in South Yorkshire are you?

Hiya Lucy,

I actually live in Derbyshire just outside of Sheffield in the Peak District.

I work in Sheffield city centre and spend most of my time in Sheffield so I always give that as my location. 8)

Loving the pictures of your ride by the way. :)
