New tips fitted. Big improvement on drab OEMs. Designed for X2 and needed some fettling to fit R/h pipe. Not bad for £22.

Looking good!

I wonder if there is anything like this for the 35i? I quite fancy some shiny tips...

I like those, I'm wondering of they will fit my E85. Where did you buy them?

They look great. Tried to clean mine up but never quite managed to get them the way they should be. How hard is it to take the old ones off and fit the new ones? Idiots guide needed.

mr.tourette and I have E85s - for those you pull the old tips off and push the new ones on, although removing them you may need a little help using a hammer on the rear edge. Not sure about the E89s

The tips I fitted were a good 50% longer than originals so I needed to either cut one back or cut out profiles to fit past the gate valve bracket top and bottom. I did this easy enough with a junior hacksaw and dremmel. If one was to do a straight cut down to size it is probable that the retaining spring clips would be cut off causing the tip to be loose. The profiling was only needed on the R/h tip. As Marlon said, the old tips simply tapped off with a hammer from the underside.

Pretty sure all the 4cyl models are easy - just friction fit.
6cyl are welded, you need to cut the old ones off and weld the new ones back on. Also the left and right pipes are different sizes as the exit the backbox, so add complication.

I bought a couple of stainless tips from aliexpress to replace the tired tips on my 35i. I also removed the exhaust flap as it rattled.

Thanks, not one for me to do then, great at taking things to bits but putting them together again is another matter

Hopefully the right way up this time.
