New Stereo/Advice

I fitted an after market head unit and what makes a big difference is the carbon dash. I think with an aluminum dash it stands out quite a bit. I reckon piano black would cope too, a big expanse of silver or none black leather / wood just draws attention to it...

I was worried mine would look arse but it looks good if not better than oem. The main difficulty was the fascia sitting flush and I needed a dremel and a red hot knife to trim bits till it was perfect.

For an aluminum dash I reckon you've got quite a good result

I'm monkeying with my car tomorrow so I'll post a photo too.

I was abit p****d off cus ive damaged the vent trying to get it out pain in the ass. Doesnt look to bad looking at it. The dab seems abit frustrating put the antenna on wrong on the dash to start out with. Did miss the features from my old kenwood dnx 7200 from my last car so changing the stereo was a must for me. Not going to take it out anytime soon thats for sure!! Yeah post some pics mate would like to see!

Everyone seems to say the vents come out easy but they are a right bastard!

Have you fitted the loom to control it via the wheel?

The facia i bought was a nightmare to fit and get the vent back in i tried to get it out again and then damaged the vent so will probs look at getting a new one. Cheers for the link ive bookmarked and will buy end of the month! Getting the glove box out was easy and the trim around the windscreen to i was surprised!
