New steering wheel... Tracking?

Put a new wheel on my M and despite it being perfectly aligned with the markings on the column it is around 20 degrees out. Am I right in thinking there must have been a subtle difference in both wheels and taking it for tracking will be OK?

I've never heard of this one before. I'd want to double check the wheel positioning first and ensure it is correct and can indeed only fit in one position.

After that then for sure the wheel can be locked centrally and then the error corrected in the steering set up.

Best go 'Hunter' and not a local garage.

I checked and checked again. Definitely on properly and was the only way I could get it on. I'm actually sitting in a waiting room waiting for hunter alignment now anyway so hopefully that will sort it. Cheers.

Well you're in the hands of experts then :)

All sorted now after the four wheel alignment! They were all out by some measure, with the fronts being the worst. Can highly recommend Elite Wheels in Reading. Took around an hour and they charged £85 after the 5% discount from the alignmycar.co.uk website voucher which incidentally I found online while in the waiting room. Bonus!
