Well its like this - she drives 0.5 miles a day to work - and i drive 50...

Couldnt have 500 miles a week going on the Z im afraid - for one thing id go bankrupt paying for the black stuff!

It would probably do the M more good than the 0.5 miles though!

I do just that - well more like 600 a week when I'm working (I'm not at the moment  ) and another 100-300 on the weekends when I'm marshalling

Luckily the Z4MC is less expensive than my old M5 :P

wow talk about a warm welcome! thanks everyone! :D

Yes I cant wait to pick it up on Saturday. I have to say, definitely have to recommend the guys at Thunder Road. Jon and Geoff have been very helpful and Jon was very 'no nonsense' in his approach at test drive which was refreshing! He said he had it up for £23995 so yes it looks a great deal. I cant believe how much the recession has hit off the value of some cars....but I think the Coupe should recover/hold the majority of whats left hopefully!

Out of interest, how many have been built? someone told me 600 in the UK?

The car was built 18th Dec 06 so its a nice late car - hopefully it has aux! will see on saturday I guess!

Ive still got my M3 but that goes on Saturday all being well. Its been a superb car - and its an SMGII. I have actually loved the gearbox and was a bit unsure whether to go back to a manual - but no choice with Z4M's so made it an easy choice I guess!

So are there any meets occuring soon? I am quite keen to do a few shows and events in it this year!

Cheers

Chris

Where are you based Chris? We were saying the other day there seems to be a cluster of us around the Leeds area.

Just realised I'm actually going to miss driving past that car :driving:

Yes, I saw it on saturday - took 3 hours to get up there but there was a silver one that BMW had for sale 10 miles up the road....however I didnt really want silver again! (had my 350z in silver, a boxster and an E36 M3). Its a really tidy example and I liked the dealer

I've seen it again today just stopped over theroad for lucnh and it's parked up with a sold sign in the window just waiting for you :D

haha oh thats good to hear!

I have invested in some metal pressed plates for my personalised reg - a friend of mine has them on his Clio V6 and their actually pretty tasteful! their german style however have the standard UK font, fully reflective etc. and are correctly spaced - will see what the look like on her!

Im going to have to choose some decent cd's for the drive back too! looks like ive sold my M3 to an enthusiast off another forum - and on the way back my friend is driving the m3 to his doorstep so although a long way, its hopefully going to work out nicely

Chris,

Very nice example you have there!

I bet the anticipation is getting to you! All I can think about at the moment is getting mine...

Hopefully someone will be running a meet soon and us newbies can get to know some other owners!

Thanks,

Jack
