New purchase regrets ?

I always seem to suffer from post purchase guilt on high value items and the Zed was no exception. Didn't take long to get over it though. :driving:

I distinctly remember attacking some favourite B roads here here in Somerset and feeling quite disturbed as the Zed tried to kick me in to the rhyne (water filled ditches that line many roads 2-3 m deep and just wide enough to take a car, deadly upside down!) Many of the local roads have 'funky' undulating cambers and crests, not good on the OE run flats, I ditched the run flats before they ditched me and all was well, no regrets :D

The ride has been a disappointment with the run-flats, but I guess that is easily solved! everything else about the car, I love

Yes ony my second Z4, the trouble being I owned the last one from new, where as this was 5 years old. I'm just being hard on myself though.

Looking forward to the london meet where hopefully all the minor niggles will be sorted and I'll be a happy bunny. :)

Loved my 2.2 roadster, still loving my coupe and by the sounds of it i could be on for a E89 when the coupe comes up for renewal

Swapped from a Megane hatchback to the Z.

The Megane squeaked and groaned, door locks, dash, really, really annoyed me.

Got the Z and beautiful, then a get a squeak / rattle from the passenger side somewhere, really disappointed.

Wife has managed to put her finger on it though (literally), so we should be able to resolve. (I'll post if we sort it out).

Summary - No regrets at all.

When I bought mine in September it took me a couple of weeks to realise that the undertray for the engine was missing... Couldn't believe I missed it :headbang: Then had to spend £120 getting a new one from BMW and having it fitted.

Spent the weeks following dreading what else I would find that the dealer had known about but not sorted... but so far so good (touches wood...). And after reading loads of woes on here I am now much better informed

...then I saw IKs M for sale at less than I paid for mine, so had to get over myself all over again

TBH yes straight afterwards - sold my immaculate red Lotus Elan with the intention of replacing it with a modern roadster that I could leave outside in the elements and use more. Felt better after I had spent a few quid getting it up to my standard which meant as immaculate as the Lotus had been. Soon realised you can't really compare the two as one is a classic and the other is a modern sports car. You lose the exclusiveness of the Lotus but gain a faster more reliable and better built car. After all my intentions the zed is kept in the garage but does come out more and it has grown on me.

Yeah I'm feeling the regret side at the minute ! Got it yesterday after what seem to take an age to find one and I feel some what underwhelmed by it all.

There is options ie send back (distance selling) but id probably regret that too !

Think you would have to have a bloody good reason to do that, esp if you collected it.

Buyers Remorse, it's common as muck.

The size of the upgrade / downgrade must have some bearing though. We replaced a car that we sold for £50 as I like to keep them until they are worn out. It is easier (I imagine) regretting your purchase if you swapped out of a perfectly decent car.

Yeah strange one, I used to swap cars for fun without a thought. I had my last for 4 years (longest I ever owned a car) and to be honest I wasnt to sad to see it go.

But just feel a bit strange, and ask myself have I made the right desicion ! Sad really lol
