New Purchase: 3.0 si Sport Roadster

I love the colour combo.

The csl's are def an improvement... But i think to really pull off 19's you need to lower it more then the sport springs offer.

mint car dude, looks great. how much did you get it for if you dont mind me asking?

So after fitting a set of CSL reps, next on the list of mods was an M front bumper. I sourced all the parts new from Soper's in Lincoln a few weeks ago and a local bodyshop painted it. Credit to Mark at Soper's who was super efficient as usual. First attempt to fit the new bumper last weekend turned into a bit of nightmare as i managed to damage one of the washer jets in the process. I'd completed the swap and the only thing left to do was to fit the cover on the passenger side jet. You have to pull the jet upwards to refit the cover and in my haste to finish the job, I pulled the jet too far and it jammed open. Despite trying everything to make it retract it wouldn't budge. :x A replacement jet was delivered last so Saturday morning spent removing/fitting bumper to replace it. Thankfully everything went smoothly on the second attempt. :) I've added a couple of pics below. Picture quality isn't great, taken with my iPhone.

Now you've had this a while how do you find the performance compared to the 2.5? Acceleration I'm mainly interested in.

Done exactly what I am currently looking at doing!

Owned my 2003 2.5i for 14 months now and am looking to replace with a 3.0si.

Hoping to add £3500-4000 to what the current one fetches to nab myself a decent example.

Anyway, looks lovely. That interior is amazing, certainly a rare combo.

Cheers Si. Certainly looks better than it for Midlands Meet when the jet was stuck open. :D

Thanks ShineyT. I'm not sure what mileage, condition, history, spec etc of your 2.5 is, but to give you an idea, mine was a standard 2.5 had 83k, vg condition and FSH. It sold two weeks ago for £5,500 which seems about right when looking at comparable cars on AT & Pistonheads. With your budget you should be able to get nice example of a 3.0 si. Good luck searching
