new primary lambda needed

anybody had a new lambda sensor fitted? i need one and have a quote from the main stealer, lets see how close they are to others
what did you pay? anybody do it themselves?

I don't know if this is the correct part (it came up on a search for on my chassis no.) but here's one on bmminiparts for £84.76 plus VAT.

Had mine done (both) under warranty, so didn`t ask what the cost was. The same part is used on the E60/61/63 V8`s wonder if they avoid the "M tax" ?

Its not too difficult to do if you can operate a jack and a spanner.

It doesn't relate to our cars specifically but it shows the process you need to go through. The location of the connector block are pretty much the same as shown e.g. under the engine cover.
