New pre-LCI discounts

I heard on another forum rumours that BMW are going to be (or are already) discounting pre-LCI G29s as the LCI is imminent.
May be of use to someone!

Given the wait times for pre ordered cars, i'd be surprised if dealers have many pre LCI unregistered cars sitting around to discount.

Considering limited availability, I'd be quite surprised but perhaps if some are still around at the end of the year. I'm unsure of your location but here's what's available in the U.S.:

Maybe it’s a possibility - nobody really wants to buy convertibles in winter.

If a dealer has the opportunity to shift a niche car at the wrong time of year, I reckon they’d go for it.

The discounts are apparently "BMW support" (whatever that means). So presuming it is coming from BMW UK or BMW HQ.

Are the differences on the LCI's that noticeable?

If they are discounting pre LCI's then the likelihood is you would get less on your trade in. It's all about cost to change.

My S1000r, new and unregistered had a £2750 discount, £1000 from dealer and a £1000 from BMW, £ 750 PCP contribution.
I took the PCP, paid one month then paid it off.

Love it when a plan comes together

There is a brand new m40i in matt grey in BMW Sheffield show room and ready to drive anytime if anyone is interested. Saw the car last Friday when servicing my G31. Havent asked about discount though.

That's a Sytner franchise. They will increase the list by £5k then offer £4k discount. :o

I bought my M30i from a Sytner franchise in London. Paid a fair price, no more expensive than any others I had been looking at in the less popular and cheaper colours than SFR :poke: They offered my £4K more for my 35is than my local BMW dealers and that was off a new G29.

Haha, I don't know how true it is but none of my BMW were bought from Sytner despite asking for quote from them each time.

I bought my 718 Boxster from a Sytner Porsche franchise. I was warned beforehand from the Boxa forum that Porsche don't discount.
The car I bought was physically in stock, it was new and unregistered. I got £3908 discount off it. Salesman was amazed, deal was done with one of the Finance managers and salesman warned me it was highly unlikely he would manage to get it through, but he did. :D

I bought my last three or four BMWs from Sytner and each time I used Car Wow to find the best price and on each occasion Sytner matched it

I guess if I put the other dealer's quotes to their table, they would likely to match those quotes. However, I didin't bother doing this on two occasions in the past as the differences were just too big (15k vs 1k and 7k vs 500). Also, I guess once I had a good relationship with one sales person, even the quote was matched, I would still go with the one I've worked with previously.

I'm not saying Sytner is bad. At least I'm quite happy with my local bmw dealer which is Sytner and keep sending my car back to them for service. It's just I haven't bought any car from them so far.
