New Owner - Individual Z4

Hello everyone,

My name is Stoycho and I live in Camberley, Surrey.

Yesterday I acquired a beautiful 2007 E85 Z4 2.5Si in a lovely Individual specification. The paintwork is Ruby Black and the interior is Champagne Nappa leather (with M sports seats I think?). The car is heavily loaded with extras, not sure what it's missing but I ll create a separate thread documenting its journey.

It needs a little TLC (wheel refurb being the most obvious) but other than that it drives spot on and has just ticked over 74,000 miles.

Look forward to meeting some of you this summer :D

Very pretty combination. Whoever initially specced that car up had very good taste.
Welcome and look forward to seeing more of the car.

Hi and welcome aboard from a local the other side of the A30.

Ruby Black with extended Champagne leather and Piano Black trim is a great combination! As you have the M-Sport seats and steering wheel at a guess I'd say your car is a 2.5Si Sport, in which case it will also have M-Sport suspension that is firmer and 15mm lower.

If it's any help I got my 224 wheels refurbed at My Alloys in Basingstoke and they did a great job - they were recommended by a forum member. You're also not far from a couple of brilliant ex-Sytner BMW Independent specialists.

Hopefully I'll see your car some time when I'm out and about!

Thank you for the warm welcome guys, glad to see this forum is alive and well. So many have died out and shifted over to FB groups which I heavily dislike, as there are too many cons for a platform like that to host a technical car discussion/threads/FAQs/Guides ect.

Hey man, that's awesome. What Z4 do you have?

And yes it is a 2.5 Si Sport and corners very very well, although I would like it lower and more spaced out, so perhaps Bilstein B12 + some 15mm spacers should do the trick while maintaining that OEM+ look.

As for wheel refurb, I have used various places around us for many years however those have all been single-piece wheels. With the two-piece split rims, it seems more and more difficult to find a place that actually knows their stuff and charges a reasonable rate, although the quality is more important than price for me. I have seen a few threads on this forum praising Lepsons so I will give them a call tomorrow and get a quote.

That’s a lovely looking car and great colour combination. You also have the extended leather added as the roll hoops are in it too. Quite a rare option.

I’m in Farnham, so not a million miles away. Will keep an eye out for you. Welcome to the forum.

I'm a Coupe fan so my latest Z4 is an MC. :)

B12 kit sounds like a good plan and 15mm spacers might work well.

Split-rims are a bit of a challenge for a refurb. That's why I replaced mine on my 2nd Coupe for something else before they suffered from the inevitable corrosion around the bolt-heads!

I haven't used them, but Lepsons do seem to get positive reviews.

Welcome to Z ownership and the forum. Car looks to be in great condition and sounds like it’ll be even nicer with your work. I like a lower look as well but be careful with sleeping policemen and car park ramps.

Thank you all, I feel very welcome already! I am doing my best to search for threads before asking silly questions :P
