I'm a newish owner of a 2006 Coupe. It's a stratus grey with red leather. Few nice bits - Msport seats, Msprt steering wheel, Msport suspension, style 108s. Not really getting on with it at the minute - my last few cars were mainly hot hatches but included an E46 M3 which I loved and wished I never sold.
Anyway.
I've had/am having a few problems with it.
1.) Condensation in the fog lights. From lurking on here I can see this is really common on the facelifts. Anyway - I've sorted this by buying a new pair of fog lights so (when I get round to fitting them!)
2.) Washer jets weren't coming up & the screenwash bottle emptied itself randomly. I tested the pump and it was fine and narrowed it down to the jets themselves being blocked. I've cleared them out and they seem to come up when they're supposed to now and the bottle hasn't emptied on it's own since which is nice.
3.) outside temp gauge doesn't work. I've narrowed it down to the wiring to the plug - it has become brittle and snapped. I've stripped the connector and it looks like it is going to be tricky to repair - any tips?
4.) The car had poor wheel alignment - I took it to my local wheel alignment place for a hunter alignment. Immediately he told me that it had high cross castor. He sorted the wheel alignment so that the toe was correct so it won't go through tyres too quickly but said there was nothing he could do about the cross castor. I have made a thread about it in the problems section if anyone has any ideas!
