New & old Bentley Flip Keys

Just got back from BM Keys so thought I'd post some side by side pics.

The new key weighs 65.5g so still has a solid feel and as I have had my old key for nearly 2 years with my flat and office keys attached, definitely durable. The main difference between the two apart from cosmetics is on the old one, the shell casing is hard plastic but the buttons are rubberised so they show wear after time but the new Bentley style keys are more Audi like so the buttons are also hard plastic resulting in looking good for longer as they wont show wear so easily.

At £70 which includes programming (new transponder included), computer cutting and syncing all your old keys, why would anyone bother with an OEM Key?

Who does this service? Sounds interesting.

You can PM him via the forum (bmkeys) or call him direct. He's based in East Ham but can provide the service in via post but you'll have to speak to him for more details.

Wish i could have gone with ya billy boy, looks sweet

Told you :D

He's not too far from you anyway so I suppose you can go when the traffic isn't too bad as the 406 was murder!

Glad you like the new key Bill.

The main difference is that the buttons are more hard wearing, plus the extra bit of chrome surround.

Anyone else interested will need to book an appointment. A new key is cut and coded whilst you wait in 10 mins.

Think i may well opt for one of these.

Couple of questions.

Do you use anything from the original 2 keys?

One of my keys head a dead battery and the one I use doesn't open the boot for some reason. I'm guessing this won't affect anything on the new one and that i'll be able to open the boot with the Bentley fob?

Cheers.

I am also interested in this, will it disable one of the original key?

Or will all 3 of them work?

Thanks

Ash

My original still works fine, so I now have a set of 3 (The Bentley key and a service key for free)

Boot release and remote roof opening still works as normal. He can program keys too.

If you want him to sync all your keys just remember to bring them with you otherwise you'll have to sync then yourself which isn't hard and he'll talk you through it on the phone.

I don't use anything from your original keys. My keys are blank and I code them to suit your car.

Any original keys will still work

oh sweet, i like the idea of that,

so if i send you one of my original key its unharmed in the process just used to Cut the new blank and code the new key, can this be done via mail or do you need the car present for part of the coding process.

Hi mate, I'm still interested in this just haven't had the time, can you code 06 onwards now without needing a donor key?

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.

I need access to the car to be able to get all the relevant data from the ews module.

Thanks

I don't need a donor to code anything. The information I need is stored in the car.
I only need to look at an existing key to be able to cut the blade.

Hi bmkeys do you have postcode so i can see how far you are from me and if the drive to you will be straight forward from where i am?

thanks
