New MSport Seats Installed/ Original seats sold

New mint MSport seats bought from another forum member, (thanks Chris) intallled and nearly all working! At least there is the full range of movement. So comfortable to sit in but haven't found a way of getting the heated elements or memory to work yet. Unfortunately my 2005 car is not pre-wired so it's not plug and play. Looking on another forum someone suggested running power directly from the battery to a fused power distribution block and then to the seats. Not going through the car's fuse box. I would be interested to know what people think. Is this a good idea? Any other suggestions (polite that is) for a solution greatly appreciated.

Bonus I have sold my original seats to another forum member. Once again the forum is proving to be a great resource and it's members so helpful.

Looking good. They do make a big difference don't they. Heating wise speak to Marlon, he had his installed with a retro fit loom from another bmw model if memory serves
 
Thanks for the comments and advice guys. I am really pleased with the seats, as you might imagine.
Mack, I will contact Marlon. In the meantime I'll search for the thread with the relevant info. on it.
