New MOT rules

I see new MOT rules could take out loads of cars failing on finer faults.
Thats why the councils dont repair Pot Holes ?.......... gets rid of cars quicker so we are pushed to buy new. Cynical view ...... maybe. :headbang:

Doesn't efect those who look after they cars . It only be a problem for idiots who ignore lights on the dash ,worn brakes,bushes etc...

There doesn't seem to be anything in that list that is absurd. I would question the type of person that even try pitting a car through an MOT with warning lights on. It would probably be the type of person that would also not bother taxing and insuring the car, so if it gets them off the road good.

Only downside is that I am sure the garages will have to increase the price of an MOT to compensate for the extra time, skills and equipment required to perform the test.
