Well hells bells. What a car! I have just returned from taking it for a 30 mile round trip...got it dirty ...
Amazing, speechless. Gobsmacked.
I have a Lotus Esprit in the garage, and previously owned an Elise s2 ...but this really is something else
Observations for anyone thinking of taking the plunge on one of these:
1/ Don't worry about the long bonnet (hood) after 5 miles I was comfy.
2/ Don't worry about the 'I'm sitting in an anti-tank pillbox' snugness and view out the windscreen. It focuses the senses.
3/ Don't worry about the talk of a hard ride and tramlining with the RFT's - depends what your used to, but this was very comfy once I had spent a while sorting the seating position out. And the RFT's gave me no problem at all, although obviously for a first drive I was taking it easy.
4/ Do worry about your licence! Keep an eye on that speedo. I passed one car on the way back that was pootling at 50mph. The acceleration was constant - looked down...90...whoa. But safe passing is such a joy.
5/ This is a car that demands respect and maturity. I can see how someone could end up in a world of pain. But, wow, get it smooth and it responds very silky. I reckon a beast if you rough it up.
6/ Get one.
Now... pictures will be coming...but lets face it, splattered in mud and sat on a gravel drive will not win any prizes... so later. Thanks for letting me enthuse and ramble on!
