New member and new old Z4 owner

Hi!

I'm a Z4 owner as of a couple of days ago; through a complicated and convoluted deal with my Dad I'm now the owner of a 2008 E85 2.0. It's been garaged for a number of years and not driven for a while, but it's in great condition overall; it made the 360 mile drive back from north Devon to Norwich without missing a beat yesterday. It is a hilariously low spec, somehow the original owner managed to avoid the entire options list

Now I've got it, I've got a list of 'things that needs doing' (get roof motor relocated, replace boot struts) and 'nice to haves' (cruise control retrofit, replace the basic plastic steering wheel and gearknob with leather items). I like to keep cars for as long as possible so am ready and willing to make this one perfect, even if it's a lowly 2.0.

Welcome aboard. If you're in Norwich you must have driven right past me in Attleborough. There are several of us about this area. You may want to join up with the East Anglian community on https://www.facebook.com/groups/398864379787577.
If you are in the market for a fancy steering wheel then if you're quick Brian ([ref]Jock156[/ref]), may still have one available in Sprowston.
I've relocated quite a few roof motors now and am happy to do that for you if needed.

Hi! Yes, must have driven right past you on the A11 last night. Was 'testing out' the handling and acceleration on the roundabouts...

Wish I'd signed up beforehand, I've booked the car into M Kraft to do the roof motor and get cruise control fitted (I'm supplying the parts for that one, got the loom and switch from eBay).

Thanks for the FB link, am really pleased to find other Z4 people here in Norwich :D

Not too late to discuss me doing the roof motor? Pretty sure it'll be both cheaper and neater.
Have they quoted for it?

Not too late at all, they can't see me until the 20th. And I do want to get that one done sooner rather than later; the car lived in a garage for the past 7 years but now has to live on my driveway.

Edit: no they haven't. Not sure what the going rate is.
