New Lotus range

Beaten to it ......

Not to sure about the radical design shift.

The Elite is maybe the best looking of the bunch though.
A real shame that the Elan isn't a simple, lighter Mx5 competitor. Massively ambitious, and I can't see it coming off to be honest. Lotus trying to get bigger and more powerful when most others are trying to use smaller engines and save weight.

Nah, not that impressed. We had a white Esprit in the late 80's, an F plate my Mother bought it at six Months Old . Fantastic car for a kid like me to be dropped off at school in. However, it was just one issue (usually electrical) after another. There used to be a rumour that L.O.T.U.S stood for, Loads Of Troube Usually Serious. I suppose from then I have always shy'd away from them. However, I have usually loved the design but this is lost on me i'm afraid. Ill see if I can dig some pictures out of her and post them up. I do recall getting into my mates dad's Morris Ital and finding our Lotus had the same interior door handles!

I like them... but as mentioned, an odd direction for them to be going in now...
That espirit looks uncannily like a lambo though

Build quality on the Elise/Exige seems to have improved year on year. There's not much to fault in the later Toyota-engined cars. But, the quality in the Evora gets mixed reports and they'll have to step it up again with this range. I hope they succeed though, and make enough money to make a new Exige.

I like all of them 8) . And AT LAST the interior of the Elise doesnt look like a cheap go kart. Couple of years and i'll be aching to buy one of these second hand.

I like the elise, but to be honest they all look too similar to me.

I like them, and being an Elan Owner before the Z4 I was keen to see it.

Maybe if they get away from the kit car build quality they could pull it off......

Cheers

Bought my eldest a new Elise for their 21st a few years ago and boy was the build quality cr*p and whenever I got a lift in it, I had to get out of it on my hand's and knee's :o ,also, the ride was terrible, in comparison an E85 with run-flat's floated on a cushion of air

My eldest thought it was a fantastic car. :?

Just hope the build quality is better on the new car

I had a 96 Elise S1 (standard 1.8). The car's handling was so good (better than E85/86/89). But the suspension was even harder than the old Z4 with RFT. It was so very fast too. But it was hardly a daily driver. I had it only for 2 weeks. :( New Elise 2015 will be interesting.
