New(ish) E86 owner

Afternoon everyone.

I've had my silver grey E86 for a few weeks now so thought I'd better introduce myself. I bought it off a forum member from here and he was a gent doing business with. Cheers Dave if you ever read this.

Originally I had my heart set on a RS250, so off I went to a dealer to test drive one that I'd seen locally, but whilst there a Z4 coupe was sat in the yard. I thought, hello, what's this, as I never knew they existed. I'd only ever seen the roadsters. The RS250 was nice but I couldn't stop thinking about the Z4. I was smitten, so I scrapped the RS250 idea and decided to focus on getting an E86 without ever driven one! It had to be silver grey or stratus grey and had to be a si model. I wasn't too bothered on cosmetics, just as long as it was mechanically sound.

Anyway, not long after I joined here, Daves popped up so I got in touch and we agreed on a price. It was a cat D but that didn't bother me. I actually only first test drove an E86 a day after I agreed to buy Daves, and it was twice the price of his! He lives in Stevenage so I got a cheap train ticket down from Newcastle at stupid o'clock in the morning and drove it home with a big cheeser on my face :D

So far I've done:

Bilstein b4 and Eibach pro kit
4 Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric tyres
Z4M geo setup
12mm front, 16mm rear spacers
CDV delete
Storm Motorwerks V1 gear knob
New gear and handbrake gaiters
Sound generator mod
New headlight washer cap
I've also taken the seats out and gave it a good clean inside

Things to do:

Headlight refurb. Might probably have to go aftermarket as there is mould on the inside of one and it sounds like a massive ball ache to split them.
Possibly new wheels
Respray part of the front bumper

Thanks for reading :)
