He walked away and more importantly his 4 year old daughter who was in the passenger seat also walked away without any injuries.

Very gald to here both walked away, but any sympathy I had just vanished.

For legal reasons I can not give full details nor can I post any further pictures which may result in identification either of the car or any people. However, The car was being driven well below the national speed limit for the section of road (which is a straight road) when a mechanical fault caused the car to pull violently to the right crossing oncoming traffic where it was hit by another vehicle and sent spinning off the road minus an engine.... which supposedly landed in bushes 50 metres away.
Roger that.

That's shocking, thankfully it didn't happen on a busy motorway etc etc. There's going to be one hell of a legal letter written to x dealership / Porsche.

I hope he wasn't hooning with a 4 yr old in the cabin ! wheres the engine ?

GT3's require some skill to drive, that's why I have a Carrera S.

Carrera S requires skill to drive, that's why I have a Z4. Also I'm poor lol.

Savage crash, glad they both walked away ok...

Seeing it upside down to. Glad all OK.

What are you viewing it on boys? It's upside down if I view on my phone and okay on the netbook.

iPad & iPhone

Must be an 'undocumented feature'

Also glad they're both ok. If it really was a mechanical fault then that's shocking - and the other vehicle must have hit at quite some speed - are the other party ok ?

Wow I'm glad your people are ok,

Stupid apple products. Now I'm at home and viewing it on an iPad the car seems to have rolled.

The single occupant of the other car was badly shaken but otherwise fine. I don't know anything about physics but 1 object traveling at 50mph weighing 1.5t hits another object of the same weight doing a similar speed in the opposing direction does appear to make a bit of a mess.

For those that asked. The car was a 991. It was brand new and it was a long wait for it to be delivered.

and something broke on the way home !!! That's not really good for Porsche advertising is it.

glad they are OK , :)

I wonder what could have broken that could cause a new car to pull that hard to the right on a straight road.
I'm sure porsche will look meticulously into that!

No interest in any kind of legal dispute or finger pointing. I'm sure it's a one off freak accident.
