New Garmin Sat Nav Install :)

Hello all

Here are two quick picks of my new Garmin nuvi 265WT. They are pretty poor quality due to my iPhone finding random reflections that don't exist!!

I got the location off another forum and I'm really happy with it. It keeps the Nav hidden and is still easy to use.

The Garmin is great so far really really impressed with it

Looks a neat install, can you let me have further details please. Been thinking of getting a new sat nav - probably Garmin or TomTom so good to see different positioning of the units. How did you position the TMC cable?

I was going to go for a tomtom but went with the Garmin. The traffic is free for life and it doesn't send you miles around if it would be quicker to go through the traffic. I also prefer the maps and interface. The POIs are also very good and include tourist places which is exactly what I wanted.

The TMC cable plugs into the power cable which is under the radio in that massive void! I haven't bothered connecting it yet because it seemed to pick up the traffic ok without it. I might still fit it but just leave it under the dash with the power cable etc.

Interesting. Been considering the exact same unit and was trying to figure out a good mounting location. I like the 265WT, but was looking for something that would be a complete media device (Nav, Traffic, MP3, BT, etc...), but they all seem to have horrible BT and FM modulation setups. So that 265WT or the smaller 265T are looking like winners right now. You happy with it's Traffic reporting?

The bluetooth seems to work well and the traffic did its job this evening. Theres three alternative routes home for me that vary with traffic so as a test I went with the Garmins choice. I can report that it was spot on and there was minimal traffic
