I recently insatlled LED license plate lights on the zed (iJDMTOY Super Bright 12-SMD 360° shine Xenon White T10 LED bulbs for license plate lights.). They work great - no error messages, and the lighting is good. This weekend I noticed a new "feature". When I turn off the car, the lights stay on with a very faint glow, for about 3 - 5 minutes. It does not seem to be related to the cabin lights staying on for a couple of moments, and I haven't timed exactly how long they "glow", but after a bit they definitely go off. Timing does not seem to be related to the cabin lights staying on for a bit after shut off, and the effect actually looks pretty good, as you are walking away.
I also noticed that this same glow comes on when you unlock the car with the remote.
Residual capacitance? Some low level of current in the system to which incandescent bulbs are not sensitive? Other thought is that it might be related to the small orange light which lights up on the shift console? Thoughts?
