Hello all,

Almost can't believe I am writing this but I have an E85 3.0L manual!

Seems like yesterday when I first posted on this website looking for an E85 3.0L. Circumstances changed and I had to pull out of the market for a while, and when I was back in the market found this gem in the Z4 Owners Facebook group.

Quite a lot of work done, low mileage and a great price.

Absolutely loving it so far, the sound with the electric exhaust cut out is fantastic and it feels like an event every time I take it out.
Even just seeing the car parked up in the garage, feel like I have to pinch myself!

Thanks to everyone who recommended or offered cars to me here. Special mention to enuff_zed, can't express how helpful and patient he has been - a genuinely brilliant representative for the Z4 community.

Treating this as a new hobby as I intend to learn and repair/replace things myself as things come up, which I am excited about.

Looking forward to interacting more with this brilliant community.

Thanks!

Meh...... :poke: :poke:

Welcome to the fold. Thems looks like 326s on that thar car. Noice looking socks but just watch for cracks!

Thanks all!

@Pondrew haha I didn’t say he was the only one!

Thanks for the advice on the alloys. These do seem to cause rubbing, I’ve got a new nearside brake duct splash guard cover on its way.

They look great but not sure if I’ll keep these if likely to cause further damage. They are 225/35ZR19 88Y, would have thought 225’s would be ok from researching the forum?

New to the Z4 world and mechanical maintenance of a car so please bear with me!

Cheers

Finally dragged yourself out of the garage then Daniel?
Your tyre width is ok but usually on an E85 that would be on an 18” rim. And as already said, those ones are prone to cracking.
Aesthetically they look great but you may find an 18” wheel would prevent rubbing and give a little bit more comfort.
Looking forward to seeing the car in the flesh when the weather improves πŸ‘πŸ»

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

The wheels do look ace, love how dished they are. Even if it does feel like my fillings are coming out sometimes..

Tempted to try 18’s at some point. Particularly like the 224m style, think they look very smart.

@enuff_zed don’t worry still spending plenty of time in the garage! Just been getting some bare essentials for the car so have had to reorganise. Plus I enjoy just seeing it in there, all pampered and frost free. Will take it out when it warms up.

Look forward to talking with you all and hopefully meeting up in the near future.

Cheers
