As its starting to get a little warmer out here, i decided to wait another few weeks while driving is still good, and as it turns out, something else came in the way of this… :oops:

This AC Schnitzer diffusor requires extensive modification to the rear bumper, (not looking forwards to that) but will hopefully be very nice when installed.. :driving:


Cant wait !!

Now just gotta find the time to install that puppy! :thumbsup:

It goes a million mph master savez 100lg and providers a ton of downforce :driving:

In all seriousness it does require butchering you rear bumper but its easier than it looks (or so told me the bodyshop that did it). The exhaust surrounds are necessary to seal off the diffusers edges with the bodywork but also to complement the style of the ACS racing exhaust backboxes.

Great purchase dude, they're apparently impossible to get hold of now.

I'll try to get some better pics soon. Hope these help with you install


 
I reckon you could butcher a facelift standard bumper quite easily and leave the factory one in case you wanted to reverse.

The standard on would just need a little work in the centre section.
 
Chawen, Mate i was just lucky at the time i saw this floating by. I however don't have the AC back boxes like you. Thanks for the pics.. I was just reading through the install manual and just wondering why you opted not to have the heat shield fastened to the sides?

anyways, the pics you put up are great, hopefully i can get this puppy on in the next few weeks or so, I have a track day on the 14th go next month, not sure if ill get it on before that.. will see. any more pics would be awesome :D

Herr, because my mate who's a very highly skilled Porsche mechanic is one fu€$#ng lazy sod and I'm going to kick his butt tomorrow :x Thanks Vann, I owe you one. I'd been wandering about this for ages (the pics are from 5 yrs ago) and its only when I posted them I thought about it again. I never did see the instructions. You know what he did the same with the ACS side skirts. They weren't siting flush against the interior part of the door and its only when I picked up the OEM skirts from his garage that I noticed they had rubber strips to fit between the skirts and the bodywork that he should have re-used.

I can't complain too much though, most of the work is free... and its the only BMW on a garage full of GT3 and other Porkers... :thumbsdown:

Would you be so kind as to give me a pic of the instructions? so that I can get him to do the work then shove them up/ down his ...
