Hello I bought recently kit of 40W H8 HIGH POWER CREE LEDs and after I installed them I am experiencing few problems. My car is BMW Z4 23i 2009 model. Main problem are as follow: My welcome lights seems not working anymore, after pressing Start/stop button without clutch and with door open there is a big exclamation mark on front display next to speedometer. This will disappear only after I start engine or close door. Sometimes after closing door car will shut down all electronics.. so have to again start Start/stop button.. Have you got any idea how to sort this out? Apart of that Led's work perfect as I wanted...

Although this is posted in the 'problems' section it sounds as if the LEDs you have fitted are throwing the errors and causing the problem. I like to think of this section as where people can post problems that have occurred due to manufacturing issues and not aftermarket parts but that's just me.

I know that some LEDs have issues and throw codes and possibly the only option is to get some new LEDs that don't throw an error. Not sure if a little play with a diagnostics system will help. I assume these advised that they were plug and play and did not throw any errors on the sellers description?

Needs to be sorted one way or another as any warnings that do not go out for lights etc are a MOT fail.

As you saying.. They ment not to send any warning faults .. Think is how many time you gonna start car with open door :) I kept old bulbs so ptior to mot will put them back. Thank you for answer anyway.

BTW I just find out that welcome lights do works :) main lights switch was not in correct possition

Usually, LEDs offer the wrong resistance so the checklist sees it as a blown bulb. You should be able to buy LEDs with appropriate bypass resistors to keep it happy and stop the warning.
