New Car Treatment on a Z4

The attached link is to Ultimate Finish who recently did a new car treatment on a Z4. It clearly shows the poor state that cars leave the dealerships. I have known how badly new cars are treated and always detail my cars before they leave the dealership. For the past few years I have collected cars with transportation wax and protective paper still intact.

That is just an advert. and I would imagine bias.
I use this company a lot to buy products and these articles are used to promote their work, yes, but this is a genuine customer car. They feature a different car each week. This one is particularly bad for transportation wax, but the swirls are common on new cars. Ask 'beedub' if you are doubtful as he did a training course with this company.

Reminds me of the bad condition my brand new F20 1 Series was delivered to me in, the paint was full of holograms and buffer trails even the silver trim in the interior wasn't cleaned correctly. I buy from Ultimate Finish from time to time and they send mail shots with offers and have a featured car each time, from what I can see the work they do is genuine although of course it is used to push more products, but then why not?

It is well known in the detailing world that 'new' cars leave the factory in less than perfect condition, probably because they are not car detailers. In fact, the guy I follow (Jim White, White Details) has a package called New Car Prep and from his vlogs he always seems to be doing them.

My Mrs gets a brand new car every 3 years and even I was shocked at the condition the car was in...swirl marks and undressed plastics were the main offenders.

This one is a particularly bad example and probably used for marketing purposes.
