I bought PSW007's Zed a few weeks ago and it's sat in my garage. I now have the V5c back in my name, so thought I'd SORN it on-line.
Apparently I cant SORN it on-line, according to the Govt website: When I try, this is the message I get:-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Unable to use service
Unfortunately, because of the tax class of the vehicle or recent changes to the vehicle record, you are currently unable to apply for vehicle tax or make a SORN using this service.
You will need to apply for the vehicle tax or make a SORN at a Post Office® branch that deals with vehicle tax using the reminder (Vehicle Tax/SORN application) or the registration certificate/new keeper supplement (V5C/2 if you are a new keeper) together with the MOT test certificate/GVT test certificate (if applicable) and fee.
For vehicles registered to a Northern Ireland address you must also take an insurance certificate or cover note.
You can declare SORN by sending form V890 to DVLA Swansea. Click here to get V890"

So, if the vehicle is now in my name and I have the V5, why the hell not ? PSW 'untaxed' it on 22nd November and according to their site checker the vehicle is now officially untaxed from that date ?
Has anyone else experienced this ?
