New car purchase

Cheers for that. When I looked on Friday, the best offer on the main BMW site was £4500 dealer contribution, but the details of the deal have now been removed from the 'Current offers' page.

If there offering £9k off to start, I do wonder how much more there is to be had. If I remember rightly, Exeters offers last year were £2-£4k less than a dealer in Edinburgh as a starting point.

Its interesting i have been playing on the BMW website

if you select a 20i the price is £297100 & dealer deposit is £5010 making it £24700

if you select a 20i m sport the price is £32875 and the dealer deposit is
£8385 making it £24490

so its cheaper to get an M sport than a bog standard - strange - i guess they have more of these in stock and are trying to dump before the new facelift model

Where are you seeing these figures? Seems almost all the offers have been stripped from the BMW website... I wonder what's coming?

They are still on the website , if you select build your own BMW and select a model, then look at the bottom of the screen you can see the dealer deposit , interestingly no dealer deposit on the lower engined Z4s.

Sorry couple more questions

Found some good deals on December registered vehicles through used BMW:

28i sounds like a better machine - what's the auto like (sport auto transmission) are the flappy paddles fun or a gimmick ?

If you get the sat nav does that mean you have an updated sound system or is it separate ?

What are the connectivity package / Internet like do they add anything , how do they work, do you need to pay a monthy fee etc ?

Cheers
Toby

If those finance examples are correct (and they're not just left overs say) then the deals are fantastic. I hovered around the idea of a brand new 35iS for a minute ;)

the reason the M Sport is a comparatively better deal is because BMW consider it to be a more sort after car at the end of the finance and subsequently worth more to them. It is right through the range and is not limited to, or inclusive of, M Sports but desirability. Spec a car wrong and the deal can get worse. Dare i say it but colour is a big factor(sorry to Carol in advance).

anyway you haven't told us your Boxsters spec yet. you may find a buyer, unless its yellow :fuelfire:

BMW certainly push the finance and wouldn't offer any discount on a cash deal with no part exchange. I turned the tables and put a deposit on the table for factory orders for a 35is and X5 30SE both with good spec and told them I wanted £15k off the pair. A week later the sales manager rang me asking if I was serious and accepted my offer. So you can still get a deal without finance.

It's a 2009 gen 2 black boxster 2.9 , 30k miles, fpsh, Bose stero , PCM 3 (sat nav / Bluetooth)

Lovely Car, think it will be going in the next week for the 28i M sport I have found though :D

What do I find better about the Z4 compared to the Boxster?

Build is great, standard of trim and leather much superior

£for £ kit spec is much higher as is ownership package

Much more comfy for me and very easy to love with

Relative rarity

Stunning looks and sculptured interior

Hope that helps
