New Car, couple of problems.

Good morning all.
Finally done it, got my M coupe :D

Now I have it home there are a couple of issue I need some help with. The car has been sat in a barn for the past couple of years, so not really driven, which could be the reason for some of these. It has just been serviced and has a fresh MOT, so maybe just gremlins.

1. Keys only work in manual mode, buttons not working on either key. Is this due to lack of use, are there batteries that need replacing (can't find an obvious battery compartment)
2. Indicator sound is faster than normal (as though a bulb has blown), although the indicators are flashing at normal speed on the outside. There is a bulb warning light on the dash, so maybe it's another bulb or a sensor?
3. folding mirrors seem to have a life of their own. Sometimes the fold on locking and unfold on opening, sometimes to other way around.

Any advice is highly appreciated
Andy

Where are the pics?

As it just passed a mot, it is interesting that the bulb out light is on as usually that is an issue. Is it possible that something has been changed into non compliant led bulbs?

For the key, you may need to check to charge it through a tooth brush charger to see if it is the power level. However, my keys didn’t work and I just had to re-pair them to the car and all was fine after that.

Many thanks, stupid question(s)

A toothbrush charger? Is this the same as any wireless charger?
How do I pair the keys to the car?

Pics to come, once this f**ing rain stops!

I think I'm right in saying there are two indicator bulbs in each light? Definitely the fronts.............. I think?
Check again to make certain all are working.

Congratulations on becoming an MC owner.

The keys have rechargeable batteries in them and charge when you are using the car. As yours has been sat for some time they probably have no charge. I don't know for sure but I would have thought any wireless charger might work. Replacing the battery involves cutting the key apart so I hope you can get them working.

Sadly I can't add anything to what others have already said about your other problems, but I'm looking forward to a photo or two!
