New brake pads needed front and rear

I'm changing mine this weekend. My rims are a PITA to clean ( 20 spoke Alpina's ), so i'm going for GreenStuff, should be around £50 for the fronts and £40 for the rears ....

Standard EBC pads are cheaper ( £20-£30 ) but kick off more brake dust under breaking.
 
Had a quick scan around and I've read greenstuffs are for cars under 200bhp... Mine a smudge over at 218. Are the red stuff pads the next ones up?
 
EBC pads don't fit the Z4 due to their backplate being manufacturered incorrectly. I bought some on my old e85 and proved the fault and got a refund. They also make hardly any difference which isn't really worth the price hike. They are poorly manufactured. You are better off with OEM components in every part of a car especially the brakes. Remember, old components will always perform poorly so replacing them with new will be enough.

Not had a fitting problem with any of EBC's Red, Yellow or Blue pads in either my Corrado, Polo, Audi A2, e34 M5 or Z4M.

If there is a problem, the guys at EBC are normally quite happy to talk to you to resolve it.

OEM is not the best option in most cases - simply the most cost-effective for the manufacturer - otherwise why would BMW's M division fit basic callipers to there performance cars?
 
My yellowstuffs are doing a sterling job. No problems apart from being a bit dusty, havent tracked them yet though.
 
i had redstuff on my previous car, made a huge difference to the standard pads - felt like i was gunna go through the front window 1st time i hit em hard.

I found them to stop the car quicker then oem pads when cold and much quicker when warm. (also added slotted rotors to make sure the pads stay clean/ wear even) and a big plus for EBC, they produce much less break dust then oem bmw, your wheels don't go black after a week of driving!!

EDIT: Yes redstuff is rated for faster/heavier cars then the green stuff. i was using them on a 400hp car
 
I found the back plate slightly too small on my E85 and it mean when driving down narrow lanes with the roof down or next to something whcih would reflect the sound, I could hear the pads rattling around like I had something about to fall off of my car. Can't have sounded good to passers by.
