New boots and MOT done

The zed needed new rubber on the rears for this year's MOT, so I picked up two Avon ZZ5s on Wednesday. Contemplated putting Vreds on the rear, but wanted 4 matching tyres. Plus I've had no issues with the ZZ5s. Fantastic dry and wet grip. Plus the shoulder of the tyre has "Z" marks all the way round, which suits the car ;)

The MOT was a painless affair. One snapped rear spring (which I knew about). I sourced some rear springs from a forum member (cheers!) so they went in today as well.

No other faults or advisories - which was good news. Not bad for a 9 yr old car, and 80k on the clock. It goes to show that these cars keep really well when looked after.

Looking lovely Adam

I had a nail taken out a rear tyre today by ATS, asked for a quote for two new PS3's for the rear just because they're at about 4mm or so... £440, apparently with a 15% discount

Rusky - the interior pic there doesn't do it justice.... this one's better

Bing - yeah it was ATS that did my Avons. Buy one, get one half price. Should have been £190 per corner (they're c.£150 online) - but I got two fitted and balanced etc for £286 and all tyres filled with nitrogen. Happy days. Bargain

Metalicker - cant make the national meet this year. I'm at the Scottish Game Fair tomorrow, and the car had to get MOTd today. Just would've been too much to squeeze into one weekend.

Love the two tone rims - what finish did you go for?

Had my MOT today - FAIL

NSF shock broken, so it's back in Monday to have it done

And also failed on Xenons levelled below limit- damn, after hiking them up two turns when I got it last year, and turning them down this morning by the same amount they are below ...... No wonder I couldn't see my hand in front of the lights when I got it lol

stehanson, my Indy just winds my lights back to the right place without saying anything each time my car is MOTd or serviced - winds me up no end
