New Battery Incoming

So having bought the E89 last week I've been pouring over all the associated information on here to familiarise myself with that model having not owned one before.
First job on the list is the battery - the car hadn't been used much before I bought it and although it had a BMW battery dated 2017 despite me recharging it overnight it seems to struggle holding the charge.
Anyway having read all the info it sounded like there was no point risking it so I ordered a like for like replacement that is due to arrive today from Tayna.
From what I understand In view of the above it won't need coding but will need registering - if I don't have the necessary software to do that is. It just a case of taking it to BMW or will they refuse if they haven't supplied the battery?

See if there’s anyone local to you with Carly, they might help you out for a coffee & register it for you

OK thanks - I'm based in Sheffield if anyone can help me out?
Can I fit it before getting it registered or does it need to be done at the same time?

I've bought one of these and it does the job (and other things).... and if you're quick they are on a one day special for £67 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08DG22XHF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Looks like a good shout in view of the current situation regarding travel and meeting up

If you do a search for a local independent BMW garage you should find some. There will also be recommendations from members no doubt. That's how I found my local Indy and save a lot of cash.
