New Battery for ///M

Hmmm, need a new battery!

The cold weather has highlighted that it is not right, not holding a charge.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of the correct battery for an ///M? Looking at the curent one, im not sure it oem.

I have an account with a local company, so hope to pick something up tomorrow, then hoon the backroads! :driving:

AGM it is then! Thanks Herminator, very informative.

Maybe it will make the car quicker to 100 also, bit of extra performance... :P
 
Just ordered a new battery from place recommended by Herminator :thumbsup: £120 delivered.

Car struggled to start after a 3 week sleep in the garage. Battery nearly seven years old now so I figured a new one was in order.

There was so little power it blanked out the clock and date :o In fact the car threw up a couple of warning lights for the brakes and the TC system which i ignored but remembered when I went sideways through a roundabout on the East Lancs Road at rush hour :oops: God bless the M diff for making me look like a driving God/knob to the commuters who watched me sail by sideways.
 
Lol, I bet that got your heart going.
I never had any problems starting my car but the clock did reset a few times and I got the same warning lights once.
 
Yup, new AGM 70A battery fitted today, 110 trade, bmw wanted 185... :thumbsdown:

MUCH better starting and i can leave the clock alone now...
