New battery for E86 Coupé

Hi all, looks like my battery is on its way out (it's a BMW one so every chance it might still be the original) and I just wanted to check what kind I need. I know it's been asked plenty of times, and I've read a lot of threads and done a lot of searching, and it seems that any 096 battery will fit, with the Varta E44 being the most popular, so just wanted to check that was right? Thanks

Has good reviews & similar spec to the Varta.

Yes an 096 battery fits just right.

I bought an Exide for my E86 earlier this year, also from Varta as their prices seem really competitive.

You should be able to fit 3 different sizes, the specifics have been posted before including the bracket part numbers. Should come up in search.

Don't overlook Halfords if you have a trade card, they can be quite competitive depending on the battery size and type.

I bought the Yuasa one for mine from Halfords last week. £122 but £10 off next Halfords purchase when you recycle the old battery with them. I also got another £10 off for Black Friday. 5 year guarantee too. I could have got something cheaper from a motor factor but over the years the extra £ won't be much.
