Here we go again then
130 miles from Darlington to home...
Picked up the latest project and in principle there's a lot to be happy with
First silver Z4 I've had and I like! 3.0 manual VERY different drive to the auto I had, and of course to the current 2.5 and 2.2 previous cars.
Not a huge spec list but has xenons, dipping mirror, heated memory seats. Bodywork is OK, will need a damn good polish and correct. Alloys are fooked (technical term) but I have a set of all silver 108's waiting in the garage.
History of the car is three previous owners, 1 and 2 were husband and wife and the car was registered on Jersey from 2011-2017. On return to the UK its done virtually no miles since and I think was laid up for a couple of years. Because of that there is a fair bit of green to get rid of- but underneath looks ok.
Full years MOT with 111k miles.
Front suspension brand new with Bilstens.
Some broken wires in the loom under the bonnet, looks like heated jets circuit
Ran OBD on it and there were a few faults showing but will see what pops up... time will tell.
So onto the usual routine- roof motor moved, suspension sort, engine preventative stuff; cant wait to do the vanos on this one I feel it will make a BIG difference! The main thing is I said I wanted a project car with stuff to sort... looks like I found it?
Cheers
