I'm a first timer to the forum and a first time BMW owner, so please bare with me. My wife and I are current owners of MBs C300 and E350, respectively. We both wanted something a lot more sportier for use on the weekends. We have test drove a 2012 Z4 on Saturday and it was really a hands down better car then the SLk we drove last week. I sat down after the test drive and began dealing with the sales team. On a 2012 Z4 28i, deep sea blue metallic, Kansas walnut leather, wood trim, cold weather package, Sirius, navigation, and power front seats, I was able to get them down $605 @10k miles. My wife was hoping for $605 @12k, instead they wanted $620. They wouldn't budge and we walked out, I have spoken with 3 other dealerships since then and there has been a wide range of quotes. Everywhere from $735 to that $605 number. I live in Darien CT, which if you read Wikipedia is considered a very exclusive town which i guess means that they command that $735 a month but in the town next store, Greenwich, the price was $50 a month less. Two questions, which may be a little esoteric, but if you can help I would really appreciate it: 1) why the huge swings in price; 2) do you think if I keep at it I can get this car for $550 @ 12k?
