I've dropped bearings out of my pocket, that gets people to back off real quick. If you tailgate a motorcycle, you're putting that person's life in high peril as they can stop so much faster than you can. I had a guy messing with me in my early years of riding, kept coming right up to my back tire in traffic and such. I kept waving him back, he'd back off and do it again. He finally bumped me at a stop light, so I put the stand down, walked back and used my AlpineStars mx boots to give his car a good kicking. He rolled up the window and laid on the horn. Didn't have the guts to get out and talk to me about my anger...

I'm much more easy going now.
 
That's a lot less common here in california than most people think (I hope). I did always carry myself when riding. I had a Colt .380 mustang that fit my jacket pocket perfectly and didn't print through the leather.
