Netherlands in the Spring

We are going for a spring break in the Netherlands in 2016.
Any advice would be appreciated - we normally stay for a week in the area of Arnhem after the Annual Germany trip but an additional holiday in the Netherlands appeals.

Friends have suggested the area around Epen nr Maastricht ?

We will be taking my wife's 335xd so we won't be quite as pushed for space!
 
You have to visit the following:

- The bulb fields near Lisse.
- The wind mills at Kinderdijk.

Obviously, I know the country well and depending on what you want to do I can point you in the right direction.
 
It's been said that we should go south!
Maastricht area ?

Any information will be helpful - we are at the age where night life is not important.
Leisurely drives , stopping for for food breaks and gentle stolling about.

Sounds a bit like a dating site advert :D
 
Maastricht is fine, I studied right there. Nice square to have a coffee and stroll and have a look about.

About a few minutes drive onto the German motorway from there as you know.

Other than that, Limburg is not my favourite area as it is rather dull compared to the rest of the country (with regards to scenery, things to see and do etc). It is nothing like the area near Arnhem where you went last year. The moors are only in the centre of the country and the beautiful woods as well etc.

Those sourtherners are mighty hard to understand as well :)

I dont know much about the rest of Holland but if you go to amsterdam I have got some good things for you to see and do there
you can take the better half as well depends how open minded she is

What a shock to the system when I saw a semi naked lady in the shop window!
I had to look away (eventually)
