I have searched the site and the How To section but I am not finding enough detailed information for what I want to do. Sorry if this question has been covered somewhere else but .....
I am looking for technical information (like a detailed manual) for the HiFi Amplifier p/n 65129143127 located in trunk beside the battery. I have the mid-grade HIFI stereo system (I don't want info for the Top HiFi DSP Carver amp). I am planning to install an aftermarket head and would like to use the installed factory HiFi Amp. I am looking for details to figure out if this is feasible.
In particular I want to know about:
1) How the amp turns on/off. Is it done over Kbus network or does it just need to see 12v power on X10266 pin10
2) The voltage levels on the amps speaker input channels. Can I run high power (20w peak) from my aftermarket head directly to these inputs or do I need to install some resistors to lower the level.
