How's this for a bummer. The SA said that since I don't drive the car 15K/year, the battery is NOT under warranty and I'd have to replace it myself ($166 for battery, I can install it myself). The more you drive the car, the longer the battery will perform.
Well, now on to the next step. As you know I drove the car around yesterday after AAA gave the battery a slight boost. I put a volt meter on the battery this morning (BTW the car did start this morning without any problem), and it read 12.5V. I don't think that I need a new battery, but just a good charging and a longer drives. So with that in mind, I'm thinking of going to my local AutoZone to ahve them check out the rechargeability of the battery...Can they do this???
Also, since I'm such a low mileage user, I'm thinking of getting a trickle charger...any suggestions on which one to get. The SA said that it should be one that automatically shuts off when the battery is fully charged.
