Nav software update / new maps - now crashing

I have updated my 2009 Z4C firmware to v32 (with speed cameras / night mode etc) and 2012 maps, but the system seems to now reboot every minute or so. Yesterday, the nav menu even froze up.

Any clues to a solution? Can I roll back the firmware?

If you've got speed cameras, it's a custom firmware, which may well be the cause of the problem - can't be 100% sure but if it didn't act like this before you 'upgraded'

If I were you, I'd use a standard upgrade CD to get it back to stock and see if that cures the problem. Only issue that you might have is that the embedded version number of the upgrade CD has to be different from the currently installed version for the upgrade to take, luckily it's fairly straightforward to produce a new CD with a modified version number.

What version is your Nav currently showing - v32 should normally show up as 4-1/00

I had this when I bought a 2012 custom disc..

It was from a guy called Russ who does a lot of these, can't think what the business name is at the moment..

Anyway he denied any problems with the discs even though it was blatantly the upgrade that as causing the problem.
I reverted to my old OEM disc and all was fine.

Exactly he same for me - Russ's disk with speed cameras is good when it works, but often crashes. Not sure if it's down to the firmware. Problem is, I can no longer find the original disk!

Isn't there a version of the HIGH dvd that has speedcams added as POI's you can enable?

I thought there was no firmware upgrade requirement for that, just to get the audible beeps, night mode and other random new features.
