National Meet - Potential Newbie

Hi,

I'm a (soon to be 'ex') 1 series owner that's just been to the National meet with Adamski (Keith Lemon! )

Just want to say a humongous thank you to everybody this weekend for making me feel so incredibly welcome. My only complaint is that now I have to save up £10k-ish so that next year I can join in properly driving my own Z4! Adamski has convinced me that the roadster is the way to go...free sun tan thrown in at least!

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better after Saturday I am struggling to literate the buzz I got from the Z4, especially after today's 'hooning' session, the English language does not do it any justice. Missed half of today having to close my eyes a few times - but got some videos to confirm I wasn't dreaming for the last 2 days!

You guys and girls, the weather, drives and every other thing - far too many to list here - were superb. The whole experience was exhilarating and my first time most certainly wont be my last.

PS.Frightens me to imagine what it would be like without the speed limit rule in force...

Awesome mate look forward to it!! Need to get that video of that emergency stop from 100 when that sheep ran in front of us  :driving:

Pesky sheep! :x

Haven't seen the vid yet but will get him to post it, provided there aren't any *expletives* in it  Emergency stop well tested there!

The drive back to Halifax was rather spirited too :)

Think he's hooked now

 Excellent - a convert, and making the right choice too !

By shopping wisely you will need less than £10k

MrZ, i just hope you have more sense than Adamski, go for a coupe

if you want a spin in a coupe i'm only over the hill in saddleworth

if you get a roadster you stand a high chance of turning into another Adamski, he gets camper by the day

Was good to meet u,mate.
U will get plenty of advice on here of what to look for,and what some good options to have are......
as for the whole Roadster/Coupe debate,it will come down to your personal choice.
Likewise with engine choice..the 3litre has sensible(ish) running costs,30-plus mpg and good performance..the m's are a big jump in running costs, and the 2.5 has decent performance and better mpg then the 3.0,but for me(coming from hot hatches, the 2.5 lacked in performance).
Hope you get what u want,if u decide to buy 1.
