NATIONAL MEET 2014... (FRI),SAT.&SUNDAY 11TH/12TH/13TH JULY

Quote - "Whilst I appreciate the reasons for your response Seb, this is your third post on the forum and all have been to do with this currently hot topic... Tbh this sort of threat on an open forum is out of order

Oh, and if anyone would care to search Craig's posts you'd find that he has an uncanny affinity for the caps button - completely ignored by almost everybody because it's kind of like having a mate who is a really noisy eater, you just deal with it".

Seb is one of the more affable, easy going fellas on the Facebook web-site, so I ask the question...what was said to his partner in a PM message that made someone like Seb respond in such a way.

Who cares really if there are two events on at the same time and nothing is really that special Paulgs1000! People can make their own minds up which one they want to attend, SIMPLE AS :D

In your view - I posted mine.

No thanks for your personalised comment

The problem for me is I would like to attend both meets - never been to the Snake Pass/Cat and Fiddle - (I'm a supporter of the Facebook group and the work of Sarah as well).

Didn't mean to offend you paulgs1000, however for some the National isn't the be all and end all, especially as it is held in the lake district every year, which for some southerners, not all I know, is one hell of a journey, hence why I don't have an issue with 2 events being held on the same day. Also if you take into account the numbers of members actually attending the National compared against the number of active members, the attendance has to be only a few percent so catering for a minority. Its all about options and choices and thats my slant on it :)

Hmm, well I do know it is special for some members including me. It's open to members to attend if possible but not everyone can give up a weekend or want to attend.

Regarding run locations and numbers of members attending; I found that there just weren't any runs in the North East, so after a bit of experience on other forum runs, Steph and I started to put some together and we continue to do so. I'm all for others organising runs in their areas - I hope that this can be sorted out so that both are possible.

Thanks for your response - as I said, I am still hoping to be able to do both. We shall see. . . .

Not going to name and shame Paul...but its not hard to find on here, haha.
Its from someone who decided to ignore advice from other long-standing forum members and meet regulars, and because they pm'd me and due to very heavy work-load of late, I didn't reply til now.......
me and John have only been organising the National on the 1st weekend in July for 6 meets/years running, so a bit of a pita that someone who has only been on the Forum for about 10months, thought it a good idea to pick this weekend(or any weekend close to it) when there are many other weekends in the year to choose from :headbang:

Oh well, National thread for this year now started, as usual around this time of year :) :driving:

Hope to see you there

What is offensive or intimidating about this post??
