After watching top gear the other week, they've kind of sold me on NASCAR. Never had the patience or desire to watch it before, but I'm GOING to make the effort!

Maybe our American friends can help...

Other than downloading the race (ah-hum) illegally, how can I start watching? Either live or recorded?

Anything like bbc iplayer across the pond?

Very keen to know how I can best get to watch some of it here in the UK. Particularly for folk like me who only have poverty TV (i.e. no Sky...).

Anyone see Montoya's crash into the back of the track drier? Whooosh...

When I was a young lad I used to watch Days of Thunder over and over since there was no NASCAR on TV... :lol:

They show it on the Speed channel and on ESPN or Fox in HD , all on my satellite service. It may be available as an add on to your sat services. Otherwise, see the Nascar website and look around you might find something. I haven't tried looking at you tube for it but it could be on there ...??? Sorry , I get NASCAR, you guys have a plethora of high grade race tracks in your backyard, I have to get up in the middle of the night to watch F1 and you folks can pop over to a race in a few hours....

Sorry, just a small rant... . And I did see the jet fuel / diesel fire the other day, I was in Idaho Falls and just checked into a hotel and flipped on the TV to catch the end of the race, ... Very lucky , both of them. Stayed up as long as I could but couldn't wait for the restart, been driving for 14 hours and was completely bagged.
