N52 Squeak after valve cover replacement

Hi all,

Recently replaced the valve cover on my n52 and started it up but there was an audible squeak when ignition was turned and also when the car is revved. It sounds like it is coming from the valvetronic motor. Has this happened to anyone before?

I take it you put the Allen key in and turn it to service mode before you removed it? And opposite on when you refitted it?

Yes I did that. Winded it in until it lined up with the lower bolt.

If it’s still making noise then my money is on it not being fitted correctly.
